Top Stories : Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Thailand’s farewell call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand

On 22 July 2016, H.E. Mr. Jabor Ali H.A. Al-Dosari, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Thailand, paid a farewell call on H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs, on completion of his tenure in Thailand.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the Minister of Foreign Affairs’ strong support and cooperation during his term of duty in Thailand. In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s active role in strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Thailand and Qatar over the past five years and hoped the Ambassador would continue to support Thailand-Qatar relations in his future capacities.

Thailand and Qatar established their diplomatic relations in 1980. The two countries enjoy close and cordial relations ever since. Their bilateral cooperation extended to encompass all areas especially in energy and tourism. Qatar is Thailand’s third trading partner among the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Thailand’s important supplier of natural gas while Thailand is Qatar’s top destination for medical and healthcare services.
