    On Wednesday 13 June 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi hosted an Iftar reception in the month of Ramadan at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by members of the UAE Government agencies and the private sectors namely His Excellency Yaser Al Shemaili, Director of the Consular Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi International Airport, National Media Council and Abu Dhabi's Punishment and Corrections Department. Furthermore, the event was also attended by the representatives from the private sectors in the United Arab Emirates and the Muslim diplomats from the ASEAN embassies in the United Arab Emirates. Mrs. Viphawan Benniman, Chargé d'Affaires , along with the officials from the Royal Thai Embassy hosted the event and greeted the honorable guests.

    On Monday 4th June 2018, Mr. Sukoom Somprasonk, Acting Consul-General of Thailand in Penang, called on YB Yeoh Soon Hin, Penang Executive Councillor (Tourism Development, Heritage, Culture and Art) to discuss about “Thai Festival” project which has been well supported by Penang State Government every year in the past. The Acting Consul-General was accompanied by Mr. Piyapan Atipatya, Consul, Miss Kwankamol Sastraruji, a public sector development officer from the Public Service Executive Development Program (PSED) 11th Gen., and Miss Wanida Senguan, a staff member of the Royal Thai Consulate-General.

    On 12 June 2018, Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN jointly with Department of ASEAN Affairs organised a Workshop on Latest Developments of Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity (MPAC) 2025 and Connectivity in the Region at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel. The workshop aimed to socialise and update relevant Thai agencies, whose responsibility is to push forwards regional connectivity in ASEAN, as well as to discuss the role of Thailand as Chair of ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC) in 2019.

    Thailand National Blind Football Team playing in the IBAS Football World Championships 2018 in Spain
    On 7 June 2018, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain together with Mr. Suthon Jitman, President of the Sports Association for the Blind of Thailand, Team Thailand's officials and Thai community in Madrid attended an opening ceremony of the IBAS Football World Championships 2018 and cheered the 1st opening match between Thailand and Spain National Blind Football Teams at Sagrado Corazon School´s football field in Madrid, Spain. It was such an exciting and lively game. Thai team played with high professional skill. Spain won with score 2:1. Spain scored 2 goals from penalties. After this, Thailand will have the matches with Turkey and Morocco on 10 and 12 respectively.

    On 31 May 2018, H.E. Mr. Kobsak Pootrakool, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office and H.E. Mr. Angel Gurría, Secretary-General of the OECD, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) concerning Country Programme (CP) between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the OECD. The signing took place during the Meeting of the OECD Council at Ministerial Level (MCM) on 30 - 31 May 2018 at Paris, which Minister Kobsak also attended.

    On Tuesday 5 June 2018, H.E. Mr. Soonthorn Chaiyindeepum, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden attended the Inauguration of the Swedish Memorial for those affected by Tsunami 2004 organized by the National Property Board of Sweden at Djurgården in Stockholm. On this occasion, Their King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden accompanied by H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden, as well as representatives of Swedish Government including Mr. Stefan Löven, Prime Minister of Sweden, Ms. Lena Hallengren, Minister for Child, the Eldery and Gender Equality, representatives for those affected by Tsunami 2004, and over 900 of friends and families attended the said ceremony.
