    Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata, attends Vesak Day Celebration at Maha Bodhi Society of India
    On 29 April 2018, Miss Venus Asawapoom, Acting Consul-General, and Mr. Nutt Svasti-Salee, Consul, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kolkata, attended the Buddhajayantī 2562 celebration organised by the Maha Bodhi Society of India, a Kolkata-based Theravāda Buddhist Society founded in 1891, which played roles in reviving Buddhism in India. Chief justice Chittatosh Mookerjee presided over the sermon session (Dharma Sabha), during which the Lord Buddha’s teachings were notably elaborated and explained by Ven. M. Medhankara Therō, Bhikku-in-charge of the Maha Bodhi Society of India. Other attendants from the diplomatic corps were Mr. Thinlay Wangchuk, Consul-General of Bhutan, and Mr. Mazayuki Taga, Consul-General of Japan. Buddhist sermons were given in English, Hindi and Bengali (official local language in Kolkata and West Bengal) during the ceremony.​

    The Royal Thai Embassy, Singapore organised the THAI FESTIVAL 2018 on 3-6 May 2018, from 10.00-21.00 hrs, at the premises of the Royal Thai Embassy on Orchard Road. The Thai Festival is the Embassy’s annual event which the Singaporeans are looking forward to participating, and, this was the 16th Thai Festival in Singapore. Throughout the 4 days of event, there were approximately 80,000 visitors.

    Mobile Consular Service in Estepona, Malaga Province, Andalucia Region of Spain
    On 22 April 2018, the 1st Mobile Consular Service in 2018 was held at Top Thai Beach Restaurant in Estepona, Malaga Province, Andalucia Region. Miss Natenapa Kongsri, Minister of the Royal Thai Embassy in Madrid, led the officials from consular affairs section to provide consular services to Thai citizens such as receiving applications for Thai passports, registration of Thai citizens in Spain as well as giving advices and consultation to the Thai community and their family members. There were about 50 participants in this event. The Minister took this opportunity to meet the Thai community to strengthen close tie with Thai citizens in Malaga Province.

    On 14 April 2018 at 10.00 hrs. H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of Thailand presided over the Songkran Buddhist Ceremony in Poland at the Embassy. The Embassy invited 3 monks from Buddhavihara Temple in Berlin and Prague to perform Buddhist Ceremony. Attended the ceremony were Thai communities in Poland and their family of over 60 people.

    On 30 April 2018, Mrs. Natsuda Pittman, President of the Australia - Thailand Association (Canberra) - ATA and Committee Members called on Mrs. Nantana Sivakua, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, on the occasion of assuming her duty as an Ambassador. The President of the ATA thanked the Ambassador for being patronage of the ATA and reaffirmed its collaboration with the Embassy in strengthening the relations between Thailand and Australia particularly through its various activities including the informal talks on different topics on Thailand and the Thai Classical Music Workshop for children.

    On 27 April 2018, Mr. Jesda Katavetin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs and Mr. El - Obeid Mohammed Al - Obeid Rahma, Director-General of Arab and Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan attended the signing ceremony of four Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) on investment in the agriculture and aquaculture sector and fish market in the Red Sea State. The MoU was signed between the Thai and Sudanese private sectors at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Sudan.

    On Sunday 29 April 2018, Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi attended the opening ceremony of the 27th Annual Exhibition of Ikebana International Osaka Chapter at the Osaka International House where members of the Chapter exhibited the Japanese-style flower arrangements. In this occasion, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka participated in the Annual Exhibition by exhibiting the unique art form of Thai-style fruit carving which was highly praised by the event attendees.
