    During the course of the fiscal year 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has supported the Muslim Association of Al-Quran Reader of Thailand under the Patronage of the Sheikhul Islam of Thailand to enable the Association’s staff members to accompany the Thai representatives to the international Al Qur’an recitation and memorisation competitions.

    The Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait organised a consular outreach program
    On 3 August 2018, as part of the Royal Thai Embassy’s consular outreach program, Mr. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait, the embassy’s staff and members of the Thai Club in Kuwait, visited Thai workers working for Hyundai Kogas Company (HDKC) at the workers’ camp located in Mina Al Zour area, 75 kilometres south of Kuwait City. The Embassy provided services, including passport renewing, labour counseling and basic medical check up for around 200 Thai workers. It is worth nothing that the Royal Thai Embassy in Kuwait has received the continued and invaluable cooperation from the Life Connection Church’s medical team which always supports the Embassy’s consular outreach program. The Embassy also distributed pamphlets on useful information about Kuwait such as tourist attractions, supermarkets, do's and don't's, employment regulations and contact information in case of an emergency to the Thai workers.

    The Thai Club in Kuwait gave the donation for flood victims at Attapeu, Lao PDR.
    On 5 August 2018, the Thai Ambassador to Kuwait led the members of Thai Club in Kuwait to call on H.E. Sisonzay Ngaovongsi, Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Kuwait, to give donation for flood victims in Attapeu, LAO PDR. A total of 850 Kuwait dinar or 93,000 baht was raised at the initiative of the Thai Club in Kuwait and presented through H.E. Ngaovongsi at the Lao Embassy’s premise. Both ambassadors praised the Thai Community in Kuwait for their kind and thoughtful gesture which would help to strengthen the already close and cordial relationship between the Thai and Lao people.

Ambassador Marcos Galvão, Secretary General of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, at the Ambassador’s Residence. The Undersecretary General for Asia and the Pacific and the Director of East Asia as well as related officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil also attended the dinner.

    On 2nd August 2018, Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi represented the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka in presenting the amount of 196,446 JPY to Mr. Shigeyo Kimura, Chairman of Japan-Thailand Educational Exchange Society, to support its various activities to enhance Thailand-Japan relations including Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto to be organized on 14th October 2018 at Kyoto City International Community House.

    The Twenty Fifth Meeting of the Joint Thailand - Malaysia Land Boundary Committee was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 31 July - 2 August 2018. The Thai Delegation was led by Mr. Vasin Teeravechyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the Thai National Land Boundary Committee and the Malaysian Delegation was led by Dato’ Dr. Tan Yew Chong, Secretary General, Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources, who is also the Chairman of the Malaysian National Land Boundary Committee.

    On 11-13 July 2018, The Royal Thai Embassy of Warsaw organised the Thai Food Week Project under the Thai Food to the World Policy of Thailand which aims to promote Thai food in Poland and to strengthen people-to-people relations by using food as a medium. The Embassy invited Ms. Chudaree Debhakam or Chef Tam, the winner of Top Chef Thailand 2017, to take part in the Thai Food Week which includes (1) a Thai food cooking demonstration at Comfort Food Studio for journalists and food bloggers in Poland. Chef Tam also gave an interview to Kuchnia TV channel's Cook News show, (2) another Thai food cooking demonstration for Poland’s TVP2 channel’s show, Pytanie na sniadanie, and (3) a Thai food cooking demonstration at the Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand with the attendance female ambassadors and female Polish government officials in Warsaw.

    Enchanted Thai Art Exhibition
    The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong, together with Team Thailand and members of the Thai private sector, have organised a Thai Art and Culture exhibition at Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery, the Fringe Club. The opening ceremony was held on 26 July 2018 and attended by participants from Hong Kong public and private sectors as well as representatives from foreign Consulate-Generals in Hong Kong. The exhibition was open to the public during 27 – 29 July 2018 with an aim to promote Thailand in various aspects such as arts, culture, tourism, Thai cuisine and Thai music, while expanding Thai contemporary art market overseas.

    Representative from Date Palm Friends Society presented a letter supporting the Moo Pa (Wild Boars) Football Academy
    On 26 July 2018, Dr. Adel Dashti, Chai of the Date Palm Friends Society called on H.E. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait to present a letter supporting the Moo Pa (Wild Boars) Football Academy and stated their readiness to cooperate with the Embassy and Thai students in Kuwait which will help to enhance the relationship between the two countries. Ambassador thanked the group for this great gesture and also expressed his appreciation for the work of the group on environmental issues. The Date Palm Friends Society was set up originally to protect date palm trees in Kuwait and then later on has expanded its mission to cover environmental issues in general.
