    Thailand Women’s U-19 National Team vs Westfield Young Matildas
    On 16 March 2018, Mrs. Nantana Sivakua, Ambassador-designate of Thailand to Australia, together with Mr. Nathapol Khantahiran, Consul-General in Sydney, and Heads of Offices under Team Thailand in Australia attended and show their support to the Thailand Women’s U-19 National Team who was selected by Football Federation Australia as representative of ASEAN to play a friendly match with Westfield Young Matildas at Leichhardt Oval, Sydney. This is one of the side events that the Australian Federal Government organized to coincide with the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit 2018.

    On 14 March 2018, ACM PrajinJuntong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice held a bilateral meeting with Dr. Margarete Schramboeck, Federal Minister of Digital and Economics of the Republic of Austria. Thailand and Austria enjoy strong economic relations with more than 100 Austrian companies currently investing in Thailand. However, both sides agreed to further explore ways and means of increasing trade and investment. Both sides discussed the importance of human resource development and the possibility of setting an MOU on Dual Vocational Education between Thailand and Austria. In addition, both sides agreed to revive the Working Group on Economics and Digital as well as discussed ways of enhancing cooperation in digitalization, E-Government and R&D which Austria would like to share Austrian’s experience and expertise.

    Ambassador of Thailand received a certificate of appreciation from the Mariusz Kazana Foundation
    On 6 March 2018 at 14.00 hrs. at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, attended the opening ceremony of “TransGrafika Exhibition” which exhibits artistic work done by various Polish artists in cooperation with the Mariusz Kazana Foundation. The Exhibition has also been displayed in other countries, such as China and Brazil. Before the opening ceremony of the Exhibition, Mr. Kazimierz Rafal Dobrzeniecki, President of the Mariusz Kazana Foundation, presented a certificate to Ambassador to express the Foundation’s appreciation to the Royal Thai Government through the Embassy’s continued support to the work of the Foundation. Mrs. Barbara Kazana, President of the Council of the Foundation and spouse of Mr. Mariusz Kazana also expressed appreciation to the role of Thailand and its goodwill extended to the Foundation and Poland.

    On 12 March 2018, Mr. Naruchai Ninnad, Deputy Consul-General of Thailand in Osaka, on behalf of the Consul-General, hosted a welcome dinner for members of Buriram United Football Club (BRUTD), led by Mr. Newin Chidchob, Chairman of BRUTD, who came to Osaka to play in the AFC Champions League 2018 (Group Stage) against Cerezo Osaka Football Club on 14 March 2018. Approximately 50 guests attended the welcome dinner including BRUTD players and staff and members of Team Thailand in Osaka.

    On 13 March 2018 H.E. Mr. Surasak Suparat, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Brazil presented the Letter of Credence accrediting him to be Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Suriname to H.E. Mr. Desiré Delano Bouterse, President of the Republic of Suriname. On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral relations between Thailand and Suriname.

    On 12 March 2018, Mrs. Thippawan Supamitkitja, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., together with Mr. Vathayudh Vichankaiyakij, Minister Counsellor, and Mr. Thanabordee Joothong, Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy met with Thailand Women’s U-19 National Team at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. Chargé d’Affaires welcomed the Team and wished them all success in the match with Young Matildas on Friday 16 March 2018 at Leichardt Oval, Sydney. Ambassador and heads of offices under Team Thailand in Australia will be at the match to cheer for them as well. On this occasion, Mr. Pairit Tanpairee, Head of the delegation, thanks the Royal Thai Embassy and gave a token of appreciation to Chargé d’Affaires and officers before taking a group photo with the Team.

    The 1st ASEAN University Fair in Madrid, Spain
    During 6-7 March 2018, ASEAN Committee in Madrid in collaboraton with Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain and the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid co-organized the 1st ASEAN University Fair in Madrid at the Escuela Tecnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, with the aims of promoting networking among representatives of universities of ASEAN and Spain in order to develop double degree programmes and exchange students as well as scholars, and of providing a unique platform for Spanish students to meet and gain information from universities in ASEAN on entry requirements and the application process. There were 10 well-known universities from ASEAN countries including 5 leading universities from Thailand such as Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University and Ramkhamhaeng University participating in this event.

    On ๒ - ๖ March ๒๐๑๘, the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi carried out the activities by leading the delegation from the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, to Uganda, Tanzania, and Kenya and to meet the representatives of the government agencies, academic/research institutes, and non-government organisation. The visit aims at exchanging expertise and discussing the ways to enhance technical cooperation on malaria and other related tropical diseases. In addition, the delegation gave advices to Thai communities in Kampala (Uganda), Jinja (Uganda), and Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) concerning malaria and other related tropical diseases.

    The Opening Ceremony of the Exotic Orchid Exhibition at the Fata Morgana, Prague Botanical Garden
    On 1 March 2018, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, and the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP) comprising of five embassies of ASEAN Member States in Prague namely, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, attended the opening ceremony and press conference of the Exotic Orchid Exhibition at the Fata Morgana, Prague Botanical Garden. More than 150 participants, such as Deputy Mayor of Prague, Czech artists and actors, and more than 70 journalists, were present at the event.
