    On 28 July 2018, H.E. Mr. Surasak Suparat, Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, met and hosted a Thai dinner in honour of H.E. Ambassador Marcos Galvão, Secretary General of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, at the Ambassador’s Residence. The Undersecretary General for Asia and the Pacific and the Director of East Asia as well as related officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil also attended the dinner.

    On 2nd August 2018, Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi represented the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Osaka in presenting the amount of 196,446 JPY to Mr. Shigeyo Kimura, Chairman of Japan-Thailand Educational Exchange Society, to support its various activities to enhance Thailand-Japan relations including Thailand-Japan Culture Fair in Kyoto to be organized on 14th October 2018 at Kyoto City International Community House.

    The Twenty Fifth Meeting of the Joint Thailand - Malaysia Land Boundary Committee was held in Bangkok, Thailand, on 31 July - 2 August 2018. The Thai Delegation was led by Mr. Vasin Teeravechyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who is also the Chairman of the Thai National Land Boundary Committee and the Malaysian Delegation was led by Dato’ Dr. Tan Yew Chong, Secretary General, Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources, who is also the Chairman of the Malaysian National Land Boundary Committee.

    The Royal Thai Embassy of Warsaw organised the Thai Food Week Project.
    On 11-13 July 2018, The Royal Thai Embassy of Warsaw organised the Thai Food Week Project under the Thai Food to the World Policy of Thailand which aims to promote Thai food in Poland and to strengthen people-to-people relations by using food as a medium. The Embassy invited Ms. Chudaree Debhakam or Chef Tam, the winner of Top Chef Thailand 2017, to take part in the Thai Food Week which includes (1) a Thai food cooking demonstration at Comfort Food Studio for journalists and food bloggers in Poland. Chef Tam also gave an interview to Kuchnia TV channel's Cook News show, (2) another Thai food cooking demonstration for Poland’s TVP2 channel’s show, Pytanie na sniadanie, and (3) a Thai food cooking demonstration at the Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand with the attendance female ambassadors and female Polish government officials in Warsaw.

    Enchanted Thai Art Exhibition
    The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Hong Kong, together with Team Thailand and members of the Thai private sector, have organised a Thai Art and Culture exhibition at Anita Chan Lai-ling Gallery, the Fringe Club. The opening ceremony was held on 26 July 2018 and attended by participants from Hong Kong public and private sectors as well as representatives from foreign Consulate-Generals in Hong Kong. The exhibition was open to the public during 27 – 29 July 2018 with an aim to promote Thailand in various aspects such as arts, culture, tourism, Thai cuisine and Thai music, while expanding Thai contemporary art market overseas.

    On 26 July 2018, Dr. Adel Dashti, Chai of the Date Palm Friends Society called on H.E. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait to present a letter supporting the Moo Pa (Wild Boars) Football Academy and stated their readiness to cooperate with the Embassy and Thai students in Kuwait which will help to enhance the relationship between the two countries. Ambassador thanked the group for this great gesture and also expressed his appreciation for the work of the group on environmental issues. The Date Palm Friends Society was set up originally to protect date palm trees in Kuwait and then later on has expanded its mission to cover environmental issues in general.

    Ambassador opened the ASEAN Festival at Lulu Hypermarket
    On 18 July 2018, H.E. Mr. Dusit Manapan, Ambassador of Thailand to Kuwait joined other ASEAN Ambassadors in Kuwait at the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Festival organised by Lulu Hypermarket. The Festival has been showcasing fresh and processed food, fruits as well as varieties of products from ASEAN countries. It does not only help promote ASEAN products but also raise the locals’ awareness of ASEAN’s presence. Lulu which controls 32 per cent of the market of the consumer goods and products in the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region has been importing a lot of goods from ASEAN countries, especially Thailand.

    The 6th ASEAN Committee Bowling Tournament
    On 21 July 2018, Thailand as current Chair of the ASEAN Committee (ACK) in Kuwait organised the 6th Bowling Tournament at The Bowl Room, 360 Mall. The event was one of the annual sport games organised by ACK. Besides the members of the ASEAN countries, ACK dialogue partners; Japan and the Republic of Korea also participated in the tournament. Not only that this activity helps to strengthen the relationship among ASEAN member countries and between ASEAN with dialogue partners, it also helps to establish the strong tie of ASEAN community in the host country.

    On 29 July 2018, Consul-General Munin Paniswasdi attended and delivered the opening remarks at the 46th Japan Nationwide Kimono Dressing Contest of Nihonwasougakuen held at Hotel New Otani Osaka. Ms. Naomi Asano, representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Ms. Saratwadee Asasupakit, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Osaka Office, were among about 300 guests who attended the event.

    Charge d’ Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy attended the closing ceremony of the International Chemistry Olympiad.
    On 28 July 2018, Mr. Jak Sangchai, Charge d’ Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy, attended the Closing Ceremony of the 50th International Chemistry Olympiad at Rudolfinum, Prague. The competition was held during 19 – 29 July 2018 in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, and Prague, Czech Republic. It is an international competition for the most talented high school students in chemistry, representing 76 countries including Thailand.
