On 22 December 2008, Ambassador Pradap Pibulsonggram headed Thai Team in Italy comprising Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Rome; Managing Director of Thai Airways International, Rome and Minister Counsellor of Commercial Offices to brief a group of Italian journalists covering tourism and aviation.

The Ambassador informed the media that the current tourism situation in Thailand returned to normal and assured them that tourism sector in the country is in full function to provide usual services to foreign visitors.
