In the afternoon of 15 November 2009, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya accompanied Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to attend the 1st ASEAN-US Leaders’ Meeting at Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore under the theme “Enhanced Partnership for Enduring Peace and Prosperity”.

On 18 November 2009, Mrs. Atchara Seriputra, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain, Mr. Sutuch Sethaboonsang, Thailand Trade Representative, and delegates from the Foreign Ministry witnessed the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Cultural Cooperation between Mrs. Bilaibhan Sampatisiri, Vice President of the Siam Society, and Mr. Jesus Sanz Escorihuela, Director of Casa Asia, at the Casa Asia Headquarters in Barcelona, Spain.
