Foreign Minister Kasit presides over the “Yes, We Believe in the Interfaith Dialogue” Asia-Europe Meeting Interfaith Cultural Photography Contest
On 5 February 2010 at the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre, Mr. Kasit Pirom, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over the opening ceremony of the “Yes, We Believe in the Interfaith Dialogue” Asia-Europe Meeting Interfaith Cultural Photography Contest and presented the awards of the IFD Photography Contest to the winners . More than 150 distinguished guests including Mrs. Taya Teepsuwan, Deputy Governor of BMA, Mr. Chatvichai Prohmadhattavedi, Acting Director, Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre, Ambassador and Diplomatic Corps based in Thailand, attended the opening ceremony


FM underscores rule of law in dealing with protestors
On 5 February 2010, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya, together with Major General Titiwat Kamlang-ek, Military Coordinating Officer to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, briefed the diplomatic corps on the current political situation in Thailand. A total of 73 participants from various diplomatic missions and international organisations, including 18 ambassadors, attended the event.

On 5 February 2010, Admiral Robert F. Willard, Commander, U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM), paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya on the occasion of his assumption of office, at the Foreign Ministry.

On 5 February 2010, Mr. Pinak Ranjan Chakravarty, Indian Ambassador to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya on the occasion of his assumption of duties in the Kingdom at the Foreign Ministry.

The Royal Thai Embassy participated in the 5th Northeast Business Summit in Kolkata on 8-9 January 2010:
On 8-9 January 2010, the Royal Thai Embassy participated in the 5th Northeast Business Summit in Kolkata on 8-9 January 2010. H.E. Mr.Krit Kraichitti, Ambassador of Thailand led a Thai delegation consisting of Thai businessmen as well as representatives from public sector to participate in the said event. The purpose of the presence of Thai delegation is to promote economic relations between Thailand and Northeast Region of India, in trade, investment, tourism as well as development.

On 21 January 2010, H.E. Mr.Pisan Manawapat, Thai Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belgium, together with the Team Thailand in Brussels which include Ms. Sirinart Chaimun, Head of Commercial Affairs Office in Belgium; Mr. Chayan Ekarohit, Head of Customs Counsellor Office in Belgium; Mr. Cholavit Chulabutra, representative from Agricultural Affairs Office in Belgium; Ms. Phantipha Iamsudha, Minister Counsellor; and Mr. Amnat Phalapleewan, First Secretary—visited the 88th European Motor Show which was organized during 14-24 January 2010.

On January 2009, H.E. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of Thailand, accompanied by Mrs. Uraiwan Courtaud, Second Secretary (Cooperation) called on Madame Viviane Wade, The First Lady of Senegal and President of Association Education-Sante at the Presidential Palace to present 50 insecticide-treated mosquito nets made in Thailand to the Association.

On 27 January 2010, the Royal Thai Embassy organized the 30th Thai Cooking Demonstration at the Thai Residence in Santiago. At this session, Ms.Lampean Kothalee, chef of the Thai residence, demonstrated the preparation of Thai dishes, namely Tod Man Kai (Thai Chicken Cakes) Kaeng Kiaw Wan Kai (Chicken Green Curry) and Sangkaya Fakthong (Custard Pumpkin).
