On 30 April 2009, Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, received 500 mosquito-repellant-coated nets donated by Tana Netting Co., Ltd, on the occasion of World Malaria Day, at Buakaew Room, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Permanent Secretary Virasakdi thanked the representatives of Tana Netting Co., Ltd for their continued support as they had donated their mosquito nets to the Royal Thai Embassy in Dakar, Senegal, last year. The Foreign Ministry would distribute these mosquito nets to help other countries in need, such as Cambodia, to fight this epidemic.
