The Vice President of Iran expressed his wish to see tourism between Thailand and Iran expand to the fullest extent.  He accepted the Ambassador’s request for him to fully support Thai hospitality business in Iran.  The Vice President also offered to support Thai investment in other sectors in Iran.

The Vice President gave an interview to Nithi ‘Job’ Samut Kojorn and Napachai ‘Jokers’ Muttaveewong, two famous actors and TV personalities who were in Iran to film tourist places of interest for their TV porgramme series ‘Samut Kojorn’.  They has visited Tehran, Isfahan, Shiraz, Qom, and the Caspian Sea region to film historic and cultural wonders of Iran, including Persepolis near Shiraz, and interviewed Thai students found on their way.  Their interview with Ambassador Kriangsak will kick off the 5-part, one-hour weekly series to be televised on TV Channel 5 starting from Sunday 1 June 2008 at 3 p.m. (Thailand’s local time). During the first four months of 2008, the number of Iranian tourists visiting Thailand increased by more than 39 per cent compared with the said number during the same period last year.
