On 5 August 2021, H.E. Mr. Paisan Rupanichkij, Concurrent Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Belize, with residence in Mexico City, virtually presented his Letters of Credentials to H.E. Ms. Froyla Tzalam, Governor-General of Belize. Prior to this ceremony, on the same day, the Ambassador also virtually presented a copy of his letters of credentials to the Honorable Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize.

The Ambassador extended best wishes from His Majesty the King of Thailand to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the good health and happiness of the Governor-General, as well as the warm greetings and best wishes for the Government and the People of Thailand to the Government and the People of Belize.

During the bilateral meetings, both sides took note of the friendly relations between Thailand and Belize, since the establishment of their diplomatic relations 22 years ago, and expressed their determination to foster closer cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, technical cooperation, sustainable development and tourism, as well as explore the possibility of establishing honorary consulates in both countries.
