เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒ กุมภาพันธ์ ๒๕๖๗ นายวราวุธ ภู่อภิญญา เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน ได้พบหารือกับนางวรมณี โตธรรม ประธานสมาคมธุรกิจ นซ. - ไทย (New Zealand – Thailand Business Association - NZTBA) ณ ที่ทำการสถานเอกอัครราชทูต เกี่ยวกับแผนงานและโครงการต่าง ๆ ที่จะดำเนินการร่วมกันในปี ๒๕๖๗ โดยมีนางกรรณมน เสนาณรงค์ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา และนายวีร์ ชาญสง่าเวช ที่ปรึกษา เข้าร่วมประชุมด้วย ซึ่งกิจกรรมที่จะดำเนินการร่วมกันในอนาคต ได้แก่

๑. Educational Hub for Ethnic Thai Community – เป็นโครงการที่กระทรวงศึกษาธิการ นิวซีแลนด์จัดขึ้นร่วมกับสมาคมฯ เพื่อให้ข้อมูลแก่ผู้ปกครองที่มีบุตรหลานศึกษาเล่าเรียนอยู่ในนิวซีแลนด์หรือผู้ปกครองที่สนใจจะส่งบุตรหลานมาเรียนในนิวซีแลนด์ให้ได้รับทราบเกี่ยวกับระบบการศึกษาของนิวซีแลนด์ อันจะเป็นการช่วยสนับสนุนให้บุตรหลานสามารถศึกษาเล่าเรียนในโรงเรียนนิวซีแลน์ได้ดีและมีส่วนร่วมในสังคมของโรงเรียนยิ่งขึ้น โดยโครงการดังกล่าวจะประกอบด้วย sessions ที่มีรายหัวข้อต่าง ๆ ที่หลากหลาย รวม ๑๐ sessions ซึ่งจะเริ่มตั้งแต่วันที่ ๙ มีนาคม - ๒๗ กรกฎาคม ๒๕๖๗ โดยจะมีการบรรยายนำเสนอเป็นภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ ทั้งในรูปแบบเข้าร่วมด้วยตนเองและเข้าร่วมออนไลน์ ดังรายละเอียดปรากฏตามลิ้งก์ https://www.facebook.com/share/p/oST5su7XEapBmJGU/?mibextid=WC7FNe

๒ กิจกรรม Reading Together และ Thai New Year Story – สนับสนุนโดยกระทรวงศึกษาธิการนิวซีแลนด์และหอสมุดนครโอ๊คแลนด์ (Central City Library, Auckland) เพื่อกระตุ้นให้ครอบครัวที่มีบุตรในช่วงอายุ ๕ – ๑๕ ปี เรียนรู้ร่วมกันและพัฒนานิสัยรักการอ่านหนังสือทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ โดยจะมีกิจกรรมพิเศษในวันที่ ๑๓ เมษายน ๒๕๖๗ คือการบรรยายพิเศษนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับวันสงกรานต์ของไทย ณ มุมการเรียนรู้ในหอสมุดนครโอ๊คแลนด์ เพื่อให้ความตระหนักรู้แก่สาธารณชนนิวซีแลนด์เกี่ยวกับประเพณีและการละเล่นของไทยในเทศกาลสงกรานต์

๓. โครงการ Thailand Property Roadshow ณ นครโอ๊คแลนด์ – สมาคมฯ จะจัดงานแสดงศักยภาพของประเทศไทยด้านอสังหาริมทรัพย์ ทั้งที่อยู่อาศัยและในการเป็น wellness destination โดยเน้นโครงการอสังหาริมทรัพย์ในกรุงเทพฯ และภูเก็ต เพื่อให้นักธุรกิจนิวซีแลนด์รับทราบถึงข้อมูลตลาด และพิจารณาลงทุนซื้ออสังหาริมทรัพย์ในประเทศไทยต่อไป ซึ่งจะมีบริษัทอังหาริมทรัพย์ชั้นนำของไทยเข้าร่วม คาดว่าจะจัดขึ้นในช่วงเดือนพฤษภาคม ๒๕๖๗

๔. โครงการเชิญคณะผู้แทนจากกระทรวงเกษตรและสหกรณ์ และยุวเกษตรกรไทยเข้าร่วมงาน Fieldays 2024 ณ เมืองแฮมิลตัน – งาน Fieldays 2024 ซึ่งเป็นงานแสดงสินค้าและนวัตกรรมเกษตรที่มีขนาดใหญ่ที่สุดของนิวซีแลนด์และในซีกโลกใต้ ระหว่างวันที่ ๑๒ - ๑๕ มิถุนายน ๒๕๖๗ ซึ่งจะเป็นประโยชน์แก่ภาคการเกษตรของไทย โดยเฉพาะด้านนวัตกรรมใหม่ ๆ ที่จะนำไปปรับใช้เพิ่มผลผลิตและปลอดสารพิษ จึงเห็นควรที่หน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องของไทยทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชน โดยเฉพาะยุวเกษตรกรจากภูมิภาคต่าง ๆ จะได้เดินทางไปชมงานและนำกลับมาเผยแพร่ในชุมชน เพื่อพัฒนาการเกษตรของไทยให้ทัดเทียมประเทศที่พัฒนาแล้วต่อไป

ทั้งนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เห็นว่าโครงการและกิจกรรมของสมาคมฯ ล้วนเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการกระชับความสัมพันธ์ไทย – นิวซีแลนด์ในมิติต่าง ๆ ทั้งในระดับธุรกิจและประชาชนสู่ประชาชน โดยสมาคมฯ จะมีส่วนสำคัญในการขยายการค้าการลงทุนระหว่างไทย - นิวซีแลนด์ในอนาคต ซึ่งสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ จะเข้าร่วมและสนับสนุนกิจกรรมของสมาคมฯ รวมถึงเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์บทบาทและกิจกรรมของสมาคมฯ ผ่านช่องสื่อทางการของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เป็นระยะๆ ต่อไป (เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน เป็นที่ปรึกษากิตติมศักดิ์ของสมาคมฯ โดยตำแหน่ง) ทั้งนี้ สามารถอ่านรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมเกี่ยวกับสมาคมฯ รวมถึงสอบถามเรื่องการเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกหรือผู้สนับสนุน (sponsor) ได้ผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ https://nztba.org

On 12 February 2024, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya met with Mrs. Voramanee Tothum, President of the New Zealand – Thailand Business Association (NZTBA) at the Royal Thai Embassy. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Kanamon Senanarong, Minister-Counsellor, and Mr. Vee Chansa-ngavej, Counsellor. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the plans and projects as well as upcoming activities for 2024:

1. Educational Hub for Ethnic Thai Community – A collaborative project under the Ministry of Education of New Zealand and the Thailand Business Association (NZTBA), the project comprises 10 informative sessions covering a variety of topics to support parents from Thai backgrounds to understand New Zealand’s educational system in order to assist them in enhancing their children’s academic success in local schools. The sessions will be during 9 March – 27 July 2024, and will be conducted in both the Thai and English languages. 2. Reading Together and the Thai New Year Story – sponsored by the Ministry of Education of New Zealand and Central City Library, Auckland, this activity encourages families to develop good reading habits for their children aged 5 – 15 in both the Thai and English languages. A special session will be held on 13 April 2024, in which a Thai team of speakers and performers will give a talk to present about the customs and traditions of Songkran (Thai New Year) festival at the Learning Corner of the Central City Library.

3. Thailand Property Roadshow in Auckland – The NZTBA plans to showcase Thailand’s capacity as a real estate and wellness destination to attract New Zealand investors, focusing on property developments in Bangkok and Phuket provinces. Leading Thai property companies will be in attendance to provide updated market information about Thailand’s real estate industry. The event is tentatively scheduled for May 2024.

4. Invitation for delegates from the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Thai smart farmers from different regions across Thailand to attend Fieldays 2024 in Hamilton – Fieldays 2024, 12 – 15 June 2024, the largest agricultural innovation exhibition in the southern hemisphere, will provide the Thai delegates with innovative agritech ideas and business contacts to help elevate Thai farming methods with productivity and environmental sustainability in mind.

The Embassy supports the NZTBA in its endeavors to enhance New Zealand – Thailand economic and people-to-people relations, as the NZTBA aims to assist businesses at all levels, from multinationals, high-net-worth individuals, to entrepreneurs who wish to access to the New Zealand and Thai markets.
