เมื่อวันที่ 30 ตุลาคม 2569 นายมงคล วิศิษฏ์สตัมภ์ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงเวลลิงตัน และนางดั่ง ถิ ทู ฮ่า ภริยา ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพเลี้ยงอาหารค่ำ เพื่อเป็นเกียรติแก่นาย Afamasaga Fa’amatalaupu Toleafoa ข้าหลวงใหญ่ซามัวประจำนิวซีแลนด์ และภริยา ในโอกาสสิ้นสุดหน้าที่ ณ ทำเนียบเอกอัครราชทูตฯ โดยมี ข้าหลวงใหญ่และนักการทูตจากสำนักงานข้าหลวงใหญ่ฟีจี ซามัว หมู่เกาะโซโลมอน เข้าร่วม และยังเป็นโอกาสในการทำความรู้จักและสร้างเครือข่ายระหว่างสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ กับประเทศในภูมิภาคแปซิฟิกในฐานะที่ไทยเป็นหุ้นส่วนรายสาขา (Sectoral Partner) ที่มีบทบาทส่งเสริม ครม.ด้านการพัฒนา และเป็นผู้ริเริ่มเวที Thailand-Pacific Island Countries Forum (TPIF) เพื่อขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือระหว่างไทยกับประเทศในกรอบ PIF 

On 30 October 2026, H.E. Mr.  Mongkol Visitstump, Ambassador of Thailand to New Zealand, and spouse, Mdm. Dang Thi Thu Ha, hosted a farewell Thai dinner in honor of H.E. Mr. Afamasaga Fa’amatalaupu Toleafoa, High Commissioner of Samoa to New Zealand, and Mrs. Philippa Toleafoa, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure of office. The event, held at the Thai Ambassador’s residence, was attended by High Commissioners and diplomats from the missions of the Solomon Islands, Fiji and Samoa. It served as an opportunity to foster closer ties and expand networks, reflecting Thailand’s role as a Sectoral Partner - a capacity in which Thailand promotes development cooperation and has initiated the Thailand  Pacific Island Countries Forum (TPIF) to advance collaboration between Thailand and the PIF member countries.
