H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a message of condolence to the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait following the passing of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Amir of the State of Kuwait on 29 September 2020, as follows:

Your Highness,
I have learned with profound sorrow of the passing away of His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait. On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and the people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I wish to convey our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Your Highness and, through you, to the Kuwaiti people for this irreparable loss. The Thai people stand firmly with the Kuwaiti people in this time of grief.
His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was a humanitarian leader and his lifelong benevolent endeavours for peace and stability of the Arab nations were renowned internationally. Indeed, His Highness’s exemplary contributions to Kuwait and for the peace as well as economic and social development of the Arab region and the wider world will always be remembered and inspire others to follow his graceful path. May the Almighty Allah bestow mercy on his soul.
