On 9 July 2025, Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Andreas Motzfeldt Kravik, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings (AMMPMC58) held in Kuala Lumpur.

Both sides welcomed the 120th anniversary of Thailand - Norway diplomatic relations this year and agreed to identify ways to increase economic cooperation such as more investment by Norway’s sovereign wealth fund in Thailand, and cooperation in food and energy security especially renewable energy and green transition including Carbon Capture and Storage. Thailand and Norway also shared the commitment to multilateralism as an important pillar for world peace.
