On 10 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference (PMC) with Canada on the sidelines of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings (AMMPMC58) held in Kuala Lumpur.

Thailand advocated for enhanced cooperation in three key areas: (1) advancing economic cooperation through the negotiation of the ASEAN - Canada Free Trade Agreement (ACAFTA) and collaboration on the digital economy; (2) promoting sustainable development with an emphasis on clean and renewable energy, smart agriculture, and green finance; and (3) strengthening human security, including by tackling transnational crime, particularly online scams.
