On 25 July 2019, H.E. Mr. Songphol Sukchan, Ambassador of Thailand to Indonesia, was the honorary guest speaker on the topic of “Ecosystem and How Thailand Build their Agriculture” at the 29th Bizcom Indonesia Investor Gathering at the Fairmont Hotel in Jakarta.

The Ambassador gave insight on the Thai agricultural sector, including the policies and strategies that helped develop Thailand’s agricultural sector. He also discussed the tangible results of these policies such as the promotion of smart farmers, precision farming, contract farming, as well as the cooperation between public and private sectors (Public-Private Partnership: PPP), in raising the quality of life of farmers. There were over 60 people in attendance at the event and representatives from both the private and public sector discussed about the Indonesian agricultural sector as well.
