On 2 November 2019, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, during the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits to enhance bilateral relations in all dimensions, particularly in reducing trade barriers and opening of new branches of Thai commercial banks in Vietnam, which will pave the way towards a strengthened strategic partnership. In addition, the two leaders also agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of common interest at the sub-regional and ASEAN levels.
