Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka visits Thai language class of Tenri University

          On 17 December 2019, Mr. Krit Tankanarat, Consul-General of Thailand to Osaka, visited the Faculty of International Studies, Tenri University, Nara Prefecture to observe the Thai language class of Professor Koji Nozu and met with exchange students from Thailand. On this occasion, Mr. Noriaki Nagao, Dean of Tenri University, hosted a luncheon in honour of the Consul-General.

          Established in 1925, Tenri University is the first private university in Japan offering international language courses. Thai language course was first offered in 2003 and at present, 8 students are enrolled. Tenri University also has a student exchange program with Rajabhat Chiang Mai University and Mahasarakham University of Thailand, having at present, 6 Thai students.
