On 28 February 2020, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra led by Ms. Busadee Santipitaks Ambassador designate of Thailand to Australia hosted a welcome dinner for Thailand’s National Women Cricket Team and their coaches participating in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2020

Ambassador Busadee delivered welcoming remarks to give moral support to the Thai women’s cricket team and praised them for being the only ASEAN team as well as the only team from outside the Commonwealth to ever compete in the T20 World Cup 2020, opening up a new chapter of Thai sports.

The Thai team is scheduled to compete with Pakistan Team on 3 March 2020 at Sydney Showground Stadium, Sydney at 15.00 hrs.
