The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will hold the 2025 Meeting of Ambassadors and Consuls-General from 8 to 14 June 2025 in Bangkok, under the theme “Proactive and People-Centred Diplomacy: From Policy to Practice”. The objective of the Meeting is to brainstorm strategies and chart the way forward for Thai foreign policy in a global landscape which is undergoing significant transitions.
The programmes include a royal audience graciously granted by His Majesty the King, a policy guidance from the Prime Minister, and consultations with senior government officials, the Prime Minister’s economic team, and relevant agencies and sectors. These discussions will focus on key strategies to advance proactive diplomacy that promote Thailand’s security and economic interests in response to a rapidly evolving global landscape. It will also provide an opportunity for the Ministry to lay out the country’s positioning and status on the global stage as well as ways to promote and protect the interests of the country and the Thai people, both at home and abroad.
The Meeting will be attended by over 100 participants, including ambassadors, consuls-general, charge d'affaires, and acting consuls-general from 64 Thai embassies, 29 Thai consulates-general, 4 permanent missions of Thailand to international organisations, and the Thailand Trade and Economic Office. In addition, representatives of the “Team Thailand” overseas agencies will also virtually participate in the Meeting.
