On 28 November 2013, H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Ambassador of Thailand to Sweden, invited 30 Swedish businessmen/businesswomen who were interested in real estate and home for holiday vacations in Thailand to a reception at the Royal Thai Embassy.  In his opening remarks, Ambassador Somchai said that Thailand and Sweden have long enjoyed cordial relations for over 140 years, so there are a large number of Swedish people doing business and residing in Thailand.  Due to the long period of dark and cold winter in Sweden, a large number of Swedish people like to rent/purchase houses in Thailand for their vacations during winter.  The Royal Thai Embassy, therefore, invited the Thai private sector in real estate to Sweden to present housing projects in Thailand in order to provide more housing information and options to Swedish people.  The reception received overwhelming response from the participants.
