On 7 December 2013, ACM Veeravit Gongsakdi, Senator, led the Thai Parliament delegation to attend the Second Executive Council Meeting and the Sixth Plenary Session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) during 7-10 December 2013 at Serena hotel, Islamabad. H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, and Mr. Mushahid Hussain Syed, Senator of Pakistan and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the APA, welcomed the delegation at the Nur Khan airport.

     Pakistan hosted the 2nd Executive Council Meeting and the 6th Plenary Session of the APA to discuss and exchange ideas and experiences in the area of democracy, regional economic cooperation, renewable energy resources, environment, and peace, reconciliation and interfaith harmony in Asia.
