On 26^th June 2015, H.E. Mr. Suvat Chitrapant, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Foundation of Islamic Centre of Thailand hosted the Iftar Dinner at the Foundation of Islamic Center of Thailand.  The event is organized annually to promote good relations between the government of Thailand and Muslim diplomatic communities and prominent figures of the Muslim Thai community. The Deputy Permanent Secretary, on behalf of H.E. General Tanasak Patimapragorn, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs delivered the opening remarks and performed praying and fasting to remember charity, sacrifice and compassion. Furthermore, the event is a special times of contemplation of God's greatness, and service to those in need. H.E. Dato Nazirah Hussain Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand as the representative of Muslim diplomatic communities and Professor Pakron Peeyakon as the representative of Sheikhul Islam of Thailand including members of the diplomatic corps from 18 countries and 400 prominent figures and distinguished guests of the Muslim Thai community also attended the event.
