On 11 January 2018, H.E. Mrs. Rattikul Chansuriya, Ambassador of Thailand to Spain together with officials from Team Thailand and Thai community in Madrid made merit and offered food to the Buddhist monks on the occasion of New Year, organized by Thaidy Restaurant in Madrid. On this occasion, Phra Boonlua Chaiyo and Phra Trairong  from Dhammaniwasa Temple in Germany preached Buddha's teachings to the Thai community.
