During 17 – 19 January 2018, H.E. Mr. Surasak Suparat, Thai Ambassador led a   Thai delegation to visit Paramaribo to strengthen and promote trade, investment and tourism between Thailand and Suriname.

            With the cooperation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Suriname (KKF), the Royal Thai Embassy organized the 1st Thailand Roadshow to promote trade, investment and tourism between the two countries. Approximately 100 businesspersons attended the seminar including business matching, questions and answers, as well as tasting Thai products presented by the Suriname importers.

            In 2017, the bilateral trade value was about USD 15 Million. Thai foods and ingredients are well-known and popular in Suriname.
