The Right Honourable Boris Johnson MP, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom, will pay a visit to the Kingdom of Thailand during 11 – 12 February 2018 as Guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. The Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom is scheduled to have a meeting with H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. After the meeting, Foreign Secretary Johnson will pay a courtesy call on H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, at the Government House.
 
This will be Foreign Secretary Johnson’s first visit to Thailand after the European Union (EU) Foreign Affairs Council adopted conclusions on Thailand on 11 December 2016. The upcoming visit reflects the importance of the strategic partnership between Thailand and the United Kingdom. Both sides are keen to promote the exchange of high-level visits in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas.
 
During the visit, both sides will discuss various topics, including Aerospace, FinTech, and Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), as well as regional and global issues.
