Royal Thai Embassy in Kathmandu organized activities on Visakha Bucha Day

On 29 May 2018, the Royal Thai Embassy organized activities on Visakha Bucha Day at Sirikit Vihar, Kirtipur. H.E. Mr. Bhakavat Tanskul, Ambassador of Thailand to Nepal, together with Embassy’s officials, representatives of Thai Airways International and local Nepali people, approximately 60 people in total, participated in religious activities including chanting, giving offering to the monks, and circumambulation. These activities were organized with an aim of encouraging the Thai community in Nepal to reflect on three important events that took place on Visakha Bucha Day which are the birth, the enlightenment and the passing (nibbana) of Lord Buddha as well as strengthening the synergy of the Thai community in supporting the promotion of Buddhism.
