On 23 February 2019, Ambassador Pornpop Uampidhaya presided over the Annual Sports Day co-organized by the Royal Thai Embassy and Thai Students Association in Islamabad at Jinnah Stadium.  Around 200 participants comprising the Embassy’s officials, Team Thailand’s officials and their families together with Thai students from International Islamic University, Islamabad, and Thai community took part in the event.  There were various kinds of sports, games and competitions organized such as football, volleyball, relay race, sack race, tug of war, balloon stomp game, etc. This annual  event was held to strengthen ties among Thai students and the Thais living in the Embassy’s jurisdiction and to encourage them to play sports or exercise for good health.
