On 2 April 2026, Ms. Somrudee Poopornanake, Acting Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, held discussions with H.E. Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Thailand, to promote bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The discussion covered key bilateral issues, opportunities to further enhance Thailand - Russia cooperation across various sectors, and prospects for high-level exchanges of visits. Both sides also exchanged views on regional developments, including the situation in the Middle East.
