On 10 June 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs co-hosted the Asia-Pacific Commemoration of the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations in collaboration with the Embassies of China, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, and Vanuatu to Thailand, as well as the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), which was held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) in Bangkok.

Mr. Phuchphop Mongkolnavin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, delivered an opening remarks at the opening session, emphasizing the critical role of interreligious and intercultural dialogue in fostering a culture of peace, including mutual respect and understanding, especially as the world faces increasing challenges and division. The Deputy Director-General highlighted Thailand’s long-standing role as a multicultural society rooted in peaceful coexistence. In addition, the Department of International Organizations invited Thai youth representatives to participate in the Voices from the Youth session, and organized a cultural exhibition, featuring the Baan Krua Muslim Community, a Thai-Muslim community of Cham descent, to showcase traditional Thai silk weaving tools and handmade silk products. Participants were also treated to Thai cuisine as part of the cultural experience.
