Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs enhanced ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership, focusing on cooperation on the COVID-19 response and BCG economy development during the 27th ASEAN-EU Senior Officials' Meeting.

On 8 July 2021, H.E. Mr. Thani Thongphakdi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs and SOM Leader of Thailand, participated in the 27th ASEAN-EU Senior Officials' Meeting, via videoconference, to enhance relations of ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership and foster cooperation in all dimensions.

Thailand underlined the importance of strengthening cooperation on the COVID-19 response and looked forward to working closely with the EU on mutual vaccine recognition in the region and promoting cooperation relating to the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model which is in line with the European Green Deal, to achieve a more sustainable and greener growth in the post COVID-19 era.
