On 21 - 22 August 2024, Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, attended the ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM), ASEAN Plus Three Preparatory Senior Officials’ Meeting (APT-Prep SOM) and East Asia Summit Preparatory Senior Officials’ Meeting (EAS Prep SOM) in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR, to prepare for the upcoming 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits to be held in October 2024 in Vientiane.
