On 22 October 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra organised a “Good Deeds from the Heart” volunteer activity in remembrance of and on the occasions of King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great on Navamindra Maharaj Day (13 October), King Chulalongkorn The Great on King Chulalongkorn Day (23 October), and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on the anniversary of Her Majesty’s passing (24 October).

The activity was held at Sala Thai Function Hall, Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra, and presided over by H.E. Ms. Arjaree Sriratanaban, Ambassador of Thailand to Australia. Participants included Heads and officials of Team Thailand agencies in Canberra and their spouses, representatives of the Australia-Thailand Association (Canberra) and the Thai Community of the Australian Capital Territory, as well as members of the Thai community in Canberra and nearby areas, totalling 60 participants.

On this occasion, participants joined together in making sandalwood flowers for the sandalwood flower offering ceremony to be held as part of the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, scheduled for December 2026. A demonstration and guidance on the flower-making process were provided so the participants can learn the techniques and collectively make the flowers for the Royal Ceremony, which is highly important to all Thais.

The activity reflected the spirit of volunteerism, unity and cooperation among members of the Team Thailand agencies and the Thai community in Canberra and nearby areas. It also served as an opportunity for them to express gratitude and loyalty to the monarchy.
