On 30 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, signed the book of condolences on the passing of H.E. Mr. Fukuda Yasuo, former Prime Minister of Japan, at the Embassy of Japan in Bangkok.

H.E. Mr. Fukuda Yasuo served as the 91st Prime Minister of Japan from 2007 to 2008. He laid important foundations for promoting Japan's cooperation with ASEAN and Japan - Mekong cooperation, and contributed to further strengthening the close Thailand - Japan bilateral relations.
