On October 14, 2021, Mr. Soradjak Puranasamriddhi, Consul-General of Thailand in Jeddah, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakheet, Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian, Cultural and Social Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at the OIC headquarter in Jeddah to hand over, for the second year, the Royal Thai Government’s financial assistance of 19,669.19 USD to the Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF) of the OIC to support its humanitarian works in the OIC member states.

During the meeting, Consul-General of Thailand gave a briefing on the overview record of Thailand’s humanitarian assistance to the OIC member states on various occasions and reiterated Thailand’s readiness to continue the cooperation with the OIC on various fields.

Both sides also discussed and exchanged views on the subject of mutual interests, among other things, the issue of development assistance, the exchange of expertise and future humanitarian aid.
