On 26 June 2026, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, together with diplomats and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, visited Reden International, an organisation that provides support, counselling, and shelter for vulnerable
members of society especially foreign women facing social hardship in Denmark. This volunteer activity is held in honour of the Royal Celebration of the 4th Cycle Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana on 3 June 2026, in which the Embassy donated a "Book Corner" comprising a bookshelf and a diverse collection of books in Thai, English, and Danish to the organisation. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Lene Margrethe Hellum, Director of Reden International.
This volunteer activity built upon the strong partnership established between the Royal Thai Embassy and Reden International, following the donation of essential supplies by the Embassy to the organisation in June 2025. The Book Corner initiative aims to promote access to books and educational resources, including magazines and other learning materials, with particular emphasis on books in native languages. Providing reading materials in one's mother tongue helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment while reflecting respect for cultural diversity. Furthermore, encouraging the reading of physical books plays a crucial role in mental health care by providing therapeutic benefits and promoting lifelong learning, which also aligns with Her Majesty the Queen’s initiatives to promote educational opportunities to advance development.
