On 13 August 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark and Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Copenhagen (ACC), attended a meeting with H.E. Mr. Lars Lokke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, together with ASEAN Member States Ambassadors at Eigtveds Pakhus, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. Other ASEAN Embassies were represented by H.E. Ms. Nguyen Le Thanh, Ambassador of Vietnam, H.E. Ms. Siti Nugraha Mauludiah, Ambassador of Indonesia, and Ms. Anne Kristine Salvador, Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Philippines.

Denmark wishes to strengthen cooperation with ASEAN in terms of trade and investment and sees Southeast Asia as an important strategic partner for Denmark and the EU.

On this occasion, Her Excellency the Thai Ambassador, as Chair of the ACC, thanked the Danish Foreign Minister for organizing this meeting, introduced the objectives and workplan of the ACC in Copenhagen, and highlighted Thailand’s strong interest to strengthen cooperation with Denmark in the areas of food and agriculture, health and life sciences, biotechnology, and bio-circular-green (BCG) economy.
