On 11 September 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Copenhagen, through the Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU), hosted the "Thailand-Denmark Innovation Ecosystem Partnership Forum" at the Thai Ambassador’s Residence. The event served as a platform to exchange ideas and build cooperative networks in education, research, technology, digital innovation, clean energy through creating business opportunities, enhancing market access, and promoting innovation ecosystem between representatives of Thai and Danish innovation agencies. Participating Thai organizations included Techsauce Media, SEA Bridge, the Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University, the Master of Science Program in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship (CUTIP) at Chulalongkorn University/the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), alongside over 12 Danish innovation agencies such as Kalundborg Symbiosis, Copenhagen Capacity, BioInnovation Institute (BII) Danish Life Science Cluster, and Dan-Thai Net, bringing together more than 30 participants.
On this occasion, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting Thailand's potential and readiness as a hub for investment, manufacturing, and collaborative innovation development in sectors such as agriculture, especially smart farming, biotechnology, life science, medical technology, health innovation, and clean energy. The Ambassador reaffirmed the role of TNIU and the Embassy as a bridge to facilitate practical engagement and knowledge exchange between Thai and Danish innovation stakeholders for sustainable and concrete results.
Furthermore, the Royal Thai Embassy led the Thai delegation to visit and meet with executives from key Danish innovation organizations, namely “HOFOR,” Denmark's largest local utility company responsible for essential municipal services and sustainable urban development, and “Digital Hub Denmark,” a public-private partnership non-profit organization dedicated to driving and empowering Danish SMEs and startups to overcome digital barriers, as well as recommending strategies for developing public digital infrastructure and GovTech to maintain Denmark’s prominent position at both European and global levels.
