On 4 July 2025, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call by Mr. Yuan Mindao, Vice President of the China-Thailand Friendship Association and Vice President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) during the latter’s visit to Thailand.

Both sides discussed ways to promote Thai - Chinese cooperation, particularly through strengthening people-to-people relations and exchanges, as well as fostering mutual understanding between the two countries. They also exchanged views on activities in the pipeline to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, which has been designated as “the Golden Jubilee of Thailand - China Friendship” this year.
