On 21 January 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Mr. Ignazio Cassis, Vice President and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

Both sides discussed ways to further strengthen relations between Thailand and Switzerland, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, and enhancing cooperation following the signing of the Thailand-European Free Trade Association Free Trade Agreement (Thailand-EFTA FTA). They also exchanged views on enhancing multilateral cooperation, especially under the Implementing Agreement to the Paris Agreement between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Swiss Confederation and Thailand’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
