Deputy Director-General of Consular Affairs Department attends memorial ceremony for the repatriated deceased from Israel

On 27 March 2026, Mr. Bancha Yuenyongchongcharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs, together with Mr. Phichet Tongpan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, and Mrs. Dvora Dorsman Yarkoni, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of Israel to Thailand, attended the memorial ceremony for the late Mr. Chaiwat Waewnil, who lost his life following the 18 March 2026 bombing incident in Israel. The ceremony was held at Suvarnabhumi Airport before the body was sent to his hometown in Chaiyaphum Province for religious rites.

H.E. Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Ambassador of Thailand to Tel Aviv, together with Venerable Ananda, a Sri Lankan monk, also presided over a religious ceremony for Mr. Chaiwat on 23 March 2026 at Adanim Moshav.
