Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs meets with Ambassador of Finland to Thailand, and a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland

On 30 October 2025, Ms. Marinee Suwanmoli, Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, met with H.E. Mrs. Kristiina Kujava-Xanthopoulos, Ambassador of Finland to Thailand, and Mr. Juha Niemi, Deputy Director-General of the Department for Asia and Oceania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, on the occasion of his working visit to Thailand.

Both sides welcomed the close and dynamic relations and discussed ways to further enhance cooperation in potential areas, particularly in education, innovation, and startups. The two sides also agreed to strengthen trade and investment cooperation.

The Thai side further sought Finland’s support for the negotiation of the Thailand - EU FTA and for the Schengen visa exemption for Thai ordinary passport holders. The discussions also covered regional and global developments.
