On 8 May 2026, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, had a discussion with the executive team of the Thailand Life Sciences and Innovation Network Alliance (TILSNA), led by Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Chairman of the Board, to discuss TILSNA’s mission and ways to advance Thailand’s position as a regional medical and wellness hub.

The Director-General emphasized readiness to support TILSNA’s initiatives, particularly in promoting the export of Thai medical innovations and healthcare products in overseas markets, in line with Thailand’s economic diplomacy and science, research and innovation diplomacy policies. The role of the Royal Thai Embassies and Royal Consulates-General abroad was highlighted as a bridge connecting Thai entrepreneurs with foreign government agencies and private sector partners, as well as in providing information on relevant regulations and standards certification requirements for medical products.
