On 2 October 2026, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations, met with Ms. Rachel Moseley, Assistant Secretary of Arms Control and Counter-Proliferation Branch, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia, during the latter’s visit to Thailand.

Both sides welcomed the close Strategic Partnership between Thailand and Australia, reaffirming cooperation in disarmament and non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs), as well as strategic trade control in bilateral and multilateral frameworks amidst changing geopolitical landscape. The Thai side reaffirmed the full and effective implementation of its obligations under international agreements on disarmament and non-proliferation as well as relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions, reflecting Thailand’s constructive role in supporting global efforts to promote international peace and security.
