On 6 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Margulan Baimukhan, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen Thailand - Kazakhstan bilateral relations, especially in the area of trade, investment and tourism. They also discussed the preparations for the upcoming official visit to Kazakhstan of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the visit of representatives from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Trade and Integration, along with the private sector from Almaty, to Thailand to participate in Thaifex - Anuga Asia 2026 in Bangkok, during 26 - 30 May 2026.
