Director-General of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs Department meets with Ambassador of Egypt to Thailand

On 14 May 2026, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, held discussions with H.E. Ms. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador of Egypt to Thailand.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing dynamism of Thailand - Egypt relations and exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in political, economic, trade, investment, and development matters. They also discussed preparations for the 8th Thailand - Egypt Political Consultations (PC) in Cairo and the convening of the 3rd Joint Commission (JC). They followed up on the progress of pending agreements and memoranda of understanding, and discussed ways to further promote cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
