The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha, together with the Department of Consular Affairs of Thailand, co-hosted a meeting on the Thai consular affairs for the member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) during 16 – 17 April 2025 at the Dusit Doha Hotel.
 
The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar and H.E. Mr. Mungkorn Pratoomkaew, Director-General of the Department of Consular Affairs. In attendances comprised representatives from the Department of Consular Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates-General in Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Oman. During the meeting, participants exchanged experiences, best practices, and perspectives on the protection of Thai nationals in the GCC. The discussions aimed to enhance the effectiveness of consular services and to promote systematic preventive measures to address consular challenges at their root causes. In this occasion, on 16 April 2025, H.E. Ambassador hosted a working dinner in honour of
all participants.
