Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs meets with Ambassador of India to Thailand

On 30 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, had discussions with H.E. Mr. Puneet Agrawal, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Thailand, who paid a courtesy call upon his assumption of duty.
Both sides welcomed the dynamic and steadily growing Thailand - India relations, particularly the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership during the Official Visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India, in April 2025. They agreed to further promote high-level exchanges to strengthen cooperation, particularly in trade and investment. They also exchanged views on the situation in Myanmar. The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with India to advance issues of mutual benefit within the ASEAN framework and other international forums.
