On 16 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed the condolence book on the passing of H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, former Amir of the State of Qatar, conveying Thailand’s deepest condolences to the Royal Family, the Government, and the people of Qatar, at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Bangkok. The Deputy Prime Minister was received by H.E. Abdulaziz Mohammed K. A. Al-Sada, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Thailand.

H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani was the Amir of the State of Qatar from 1995 - 2013. He paid a visit to Thailand in June 2006 to attend the Sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of the Accession to the Throne of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great.
