On 11 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Poj Aramwattananont, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, together with executives from the two organisations.

Both sides discussed ways to advance Thailand’s economic agenda, including exploring new trade opportunities in both existing and new markets, enhancing Thailand’s competitiveness and export capacity, and strengthening close public-private collaboration, particularly in addressing trade-related challenges and barriers. They also discussed promoting a range of Thailand’s economic potential in addition to Thai products by utilising platforms such as Thai Festival to create further business opportunities for Thai entrepreneurs.

The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of advancing economic diplomacy through fostering an integrated “Team Thailand” approach to expand business opportunities and reach new markets, thereby helping diversify Thailand’s trade and investment risks.
